Vigil, collection drive scheduled this week in Fall River for homeless
Both a vigil and a week long collection drive are scheduled for this week in Fall River.
According to Steppingstone Inc., as part of Hunger and Homelessness Awareness Week, the annual Candlelight Vigil for the Homeless will be taking place on Thursday November 15th at 6:30 p.m. in the Steppingstone parking lot at 134 Durfee Street. Speakers, music, prayer, and inspirational homilies are scheduled for the event.
In addition, Steppingstone’s First Step Inn has scheduled a week-long drive that will be taking place this week to collect items for area residents in need. Adult male/female underwear, socks, gloves, and hats are some of the items in particular that are being requested. You can bring the items with you to the vigil, or drop them off at First Step Inn from November 12th to the 16th at the 134 Durfee Street address.
