VIDEO: Fall River Fire Department battling blaze during blizzard, firefighter injured
The Fall River Fire Department is fighting a massive blaze Saturday afternoon and into the evening during a blizzard and in frigid temperatures.
At approximately 4:45 p.m., fire crews responded to 140 Irving Street for a fully involved fire consuming all three floors.
Shortly before arriving on scene, all firefighters were instructed to evacuate the three-story building.
The building has also suffered a partial collapse.
Neighbors were evacuated by personnel as a precaution.
A firefighter was reportedly injured with a severe back laceration.
Pets were also seen being taken from the scene in carriers.
DCM had to be called to help fire apparatus with road conditions.
