Victim’s name released in Fall River homicide
According to the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, the Fall River homicide victim from Friday night’s shooting outside JC’s Cafe can now be publicly identified as Eric Voshell, 39, of Oak Bluffs.
Fall River Police, Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to this office and Homicide Unit prosecutors are actively investigating a homicide, which occurred in The City of Fall River Friday night.
At around 10:15 p.m. Friday night, police responded to JC’s Cafe, which is located at 1050 Bedford Street, for a report of a shooting with multiple victims. When police arrived, they located Voshell and rushed him to Charlton Memorial Hospital. The victim was later transferred to Rhode Island Hospital, where he died Saturday morning.
Two other apparent gunshot victims, a 37-year-old Fall River man and a 23-year-old Bridgewater man, were also transported to area hospitals for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Both are currently in stable condition.
The investigation into the shooting homicide is extremely active leading the DA to not release more information.
