Victim’s name released in crash involving West Bridgewater man
The victim’s name has been released in Tuesday’s fatal crash.
According to Massachusetts State Police, at approximately 1:55 p.m., Troopers assigned to the State Police-Framingham Barracks responded to a crash on Route 95 southbound in Westwood. When Troopers arrived on scene, they encountered a 2014 Jeep Wrangler that had gone over the guardrail at the right edge of the road and rolled over.
Troopers and Paramedics from Westwood EMS located the operator, Berlioz Florestal, a 51-year-old male from West Bridgewater, suffering from life-threatening injuries sustained during the crash. The man was transported from the scene to an area hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
The facts and circumstances of the crash, including the cause of the operator losing control of the vehicle, remain under investigation by Troop H of the Massachusetts State Police along with the State Police Collision Analysis Reconstruction Section, Crime Scene Services Section, and the State Police Detective Unit assigned to Norfolk County. Troopers were assisted on scene by Westwood Fire and EMS, and MassDOT.
