Victim injured from third shooting in same Fall River neighborhood since Saturday
Fall River Police are investigating a third shooting in the same vicinity since Saturday.
According to Lieutenant Jay Huard, at 11:10 p.m. on Wednesday, patrol units responded to a report of shots fired in the area of Fourth Street and Rodman Street. Upon arrival, patrol units located a 28-year-old victim who stated he was in the above area when he heard shots and felt something hit his shin.
The victim sustained a minor wound, which may have been caused by a ricochet, and was transported to a local hospital.
Two related shootings occurred in the same general area of the City on Saturday and Monday.
Huard stated that Chief Cardoza has increased patrols in the area to deal with the recent acts of violence and will continue to do so.
“Major Crimes Detectives have been aggressively working all leads and they will be handling the follow up on this most recent incident.”
