Victim in fatal weekend crash remembered for his love of boating, many talents
Police have released the name of a driver that was killed after a serious weekend crash.
According to Massachusetts State Police, shortly after 5:30 p.m. Sunday, Massachusetts State Troopers assigned to the Bourne Barracks responded to a car that veered off Route 28 into the wood line in Falmouth. The crash resulted in fatal injuries to 67-year-old Stephen Hill of Falmouth.
Preliminary investigation indicates that at approximately 5:36 p.m. a 2006 Saab was northbound on Route 28 in the vicinity of the off ramp to Route 151 when, for reasons still under investigation, it exited the right edge of the road, traveled through the grass infield, entered the wood line and struck several trees.
Hill was removed from the vehicle by the Falmouth Fire Department and transported to Falmouth Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.
Hill is being remembered as a funny man who loved boating and was a jack-of-all trades with many talents.
The crash remains under investigation by Troop D of the Massachusetts State Police with assistance from the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section and the State Police Crime Scene Services Section.
