Victim in Fall River shooting identified, suspect to be charged with murder
According to the Bristol County District Attorney’s office, the victim of last night’s homicide in Fall River can now be publicly identified as Maurice Timberlake, 24, of Fall River.
A charge of murder will be lodged against the defendant, Keishon Workman, 19, of Fall River, this morning in Fall River District Court. The defendant will be arraigned on murder and firearm charges later this morning.
Keishon Workman was taken into custody by Fall River Police in the Corky Row section of Fall River shortly after the shooting was reported.
Fall River Police received 911 calls around 4:30 pm regarding shots fired and a male victim in the area of 408 South Main Street. When police and other first responders arrived on scene, they located a 24-year-old city man who had sustained gunshot wounds. The victim was rushed to Saint Anne’s Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
