Victim identified in fatal Fairhaven crash Wednesday
Fairhaven Police, Massachusetts State Police detectives assigned to the district attorney’s office, and members of the State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section are investigating a fatal one car crash, which occurred earlier this evening in Fairhaven.
Fairhaven Police responded to the area of 475 Bridge Street around 5:15 p.m. today after receiving 911 calls regarding the crash.
According to Gregg Miliote of the Bristol County District Attorney’s Office, the vehicle involved, a 2008 Ford F-150, had left the roadway and struck a tree before then becoming engulfed in flames. The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, Shane Pacheco, 31, of North Dartmouth, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Accident reconstruction is ongoing at this time.
