Veterans Memorial Bridge openings to begin
MassDOT has announced that the Veterans Memorial Bridge between Fall River and Somerset will be having several test openings on September 26th and 27th.
The openings will run from 9:00 a.m. to 3 p.m. every hour on the hour except noon.
Each bridge opening is expected to last about 15 minutes.
MassDOT suggests you seek alternate routes during these times.
These tests are necessary to perform fine tuning and ensure proper operation of the draw bridge.
The test openings are scheduled weather permitting and are subject to change.
