UPDATE: According to owner and president Joseph Estrela, now that he owns the property at 358 G.A.R. Highway, work has been started on the huge entertainment complex scheduled in Swansea.

“We have started the clean up and demolition needed for the space for the building. I also have been working with an architect for the past month and will hopefully have color renderings for the building.”

Here is our previous story:

A big family entertainment complex is scheduled to Swansea.

Are you a fan of medieval castles and family entertainment? Joseph Estrela of Swansea is planning on a huge castle called Silver Stone Castle Family Entertainment full of activities and fun at the old Cole River site at 358 G.A.R. Highway in the town.

The 3-5 million dollar 80,000 square foot complex will contain fun for all ages including a two story go cart track, laser tag arena, bumper cars, dance floor, stage for musical acts, and an area for pub style food. Part of an 8,000 square foot indoor heated pool will have a cathedral ceiling. Estrela is also considering having kayaking available in the river.

The complex is expected to be finished in spring of 2020 pending approvals. However, it is expected to be completed in two stages. The first stage is hoped to be completed by the end of 2019.

Estrela was in front of the Board of Selectmen at the end of January for an All Alcohol On Premise license. Estrela has a purchase and sales agreement on the property and plans to close on February 15th. Estrela will receive the license contingent on the closure and updates on the project.
