Update issued on 8-year-old who sustained life-threating injuries in crash on Route 140
An update has been issued concerning an 8-year-old who was seriously injured in a recent car crash.
According to an acquaintance through a GoFundMe fundraiser, Rosie Wilson, a 2nd grade student at H. Olive Day School in Norfolk, Massachusetts, was involved in a head on car crash with an ambulance in Foxboro on February 22nd.
Rosie sustained life-threating injuries and was med-flighted to MGH in Boston. She has already gone through several lengthy surgeries and has a long road ahead to recovery.
It was reported on Saturday that among Wilson’s injuries is a fractured vertebrae and is going to have another MRI to determine if surgery is needed. She is still intubated and sedated.
Those who know Rosie say that she loves the colors blue and purple, stuffed animals, YouTube, and gym class. She wants to be a police officer when she grows up.
According to police, just before 6:45 p.m., Foxborough Police and Fire responded to a motor vehicle crash at 215 Main Street (Route 140).
A subsequent investigation determined that a vehicle being operated by Rosie’s mother, 40-year-old Jenna Wilson from Foxborough, was traveling southbound on Main Street and crossed into the northbound lane striking an ambulance head-on.
The ambulance was carrying a patient, with two ambulance personnel on board.
As a result of the motor vehicle crash, five people were transported to the hospital.
According to the Foxborough Fire Department, the first patient was a 77-year-old male who was on the stretcher in the rear of the ambulance being brought back to their home from a rehabilitation facility. He was transported to Rhode Island Hospital for evaluation.
The second patient was a male in his 20s who was the attendant of the ambulance. This patient was conscious and alert and transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital for evaluation.
The third patient was Jenna Wilson who was conscious and alert and transported to Sturdy Memorial Hospital for evaluation.
The fourth patient was an approximately 25-year-old female, who was an EMT and the driver of the Ambulance. She was ambulatory and was actively attending to the patients before the fire department arrived.
The fifth patient was Rosie Wilson.
Through the investigation, an arrest warrant was issued for Jenna Wilson, and she was placed into custody on February 29th at 10:00 p.m.
Wilson was arraigned at Wrentham District Court on March 1st on the charges of OUI-liquor or .08% & Serious Injury & Negligent, Child Endangerment While OUI, Negligent Operation of Motor Vehicle, Marked Lanes Violation, and Reckless Endangerment to Child.
According to the GoFundMe, Rosie’s parents are separated, and the funds raised will be going to her father for Rosie’s recovery only.

So very sad for all involved. Prays for Rosie for a healthy recovery and for mom who know will live with her horrific decisions for life. Rosie when she awakes will have horrific memories and have to deal with her own mother being charged for her injuries. Don’t drink and drive people
