Unresponsive driver rescued from fiery crash into home in Foxborough, to face charges
An early morning crash in Massachusetts led to flames and charges.
According to police, on Friday at approximately 12:45 a.m., the midnight shift was dispatched to South Street in Foxborough for a reported motor vehicle crash involving a vehicle that had struck a residence.
Sergeant Buckley along with Officers Flaherty, Fayles, and Salerno responded.
Upon arrival, Officers located a single vehicle that had collided with the home. The operator was found unresponsive and trapped inside as the vehicle began filling with smoke and catching fire.
Officers were able to extract the operator from the vehicle and pull them to safety shortly before the car became engulfed in flames.
Foxborough Firefighters Local 2252 arrived shortly after and successfully extinguished the fire.
The operator was transported to a nearby hospital for treatment.
A preliminary investigation indicates that alcohol was a contributing factor in the crash.
The operator will appear at the Wrentham District Court in the near future to face criminal charges.
All individuals are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
