Two women stabbed to death with two minor children evaluated in Dorchester

Two women have been killed Sunday afternoon and one is in custody.

According to Boston Police, at approximately 12:26 p.m., Officers assigned to District C-11 (Dorchester) responded to a call for a person stabbed at 26 Taft Street, Dorchester. On arrival, officers discovered two adult females suffering from stab wounds at an inside crime scene. One female was pronounced on scene and a second was transported to a local hospital where she was pronounced. Two minor children were transported to a hospital for an evaluation.

BPD Officers have arrested Marcus Chavis, 34, of Dorchester. He will be arraigned in Dorchester District Court on charges of Murder (2 Counts) and Animal Cruelty.

The Boston Police Department is actively reviewing the facts and circumstances surrounding this incident and is asking anyone with information relative to the investigation to contact Boston Police Homicide Detectives at (617) 343-4470.
