Two vehicle crash on Braga Bridge causes injuries Saturday
A crash Saturday evening on the Braga Bridge caused a traffic backup and some injuries.
According to Massachusetts State Police, at approximately 8:35 p.m., a call came in for a two vehicle crash on I-195 Westbound on the bridge.
One of the vehicles involved, a 2010 Dodge Ram truck, was driven by a 23-year-old man from Swansea. The truck also contained a 19 year-old female passenger from Westport.
The second vehicle in the crash also had two occupants. A 2007 Ford Focus was driven by a 22-year-old female from Providence and had a 22-year-old male passenger from Fall River.
Police stated that Fall River personnel also responded to the crash to treat the injured. None of the injured parties were transported to the hospital.
A witness had stated that one of the vehicles in the crash was going the wrong way, but that could not be confirmed by Massachusetts State Police as the investigation is ongoing through the Dartmouth Barracks.
It is currently unclear if any of the drivers will be cited.
