Two teens released on bail after shooting in McDonalds parking lot in Rhode Island

Two teens are facing charges after a reported shooting at a local fast-food restaurant.

According to police, on April 3rd at approximately 3:30 p.m., a disturbance occurred involving a large group of individuals in the parking lot of McDonalds located at 255 Mineral Spring Avenue in Pawtucket.

During the altercation someone fired a gunshot which miraculously did not strike anyone besides a vehicle in the parking lot. Detectives then began an extensive investigation. On April 7th Pawtucket Detectives obtained two court authorized search warrants for addresses on Lincoln Avenue and Columbus Avenue.

With assistance from the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force, two eighteen-year-old males were apprehended and charged by Pawtucket Police.

Willy Medina of Pawtucket was charged with Carrying a Pistol Without a License, Firing in a Compact Area, Disorderly Conduct, and Vandalism.

Ednilson Medina of Pawtucket was charged with Carrying a Pistol Without a License and Disorderly conduct.

Both were arraigned in 6th District Court in Providence and released after posting $5,000 surety bond.
