Two of four rescued animals die in Fall River fire as family looks for monetary and clothes donations
More details have been revealed after the Fall River Fire Department responded to a Wednesday afternoon fire at a 3-family home.
At approximately 3:00 p.m. a call came into dispatch for smoke showing from the third floor of 54 Vale Street.
Upon arrival, crews encountered dark smoke and heavy fire on the third floor.
Firefighters quickly had the fire contained and minutes later had it knocked down.
According to a GoFundMe fundraiser, “everyone made it out safely, but they lost nearly everything—clothing, personal belongings, and the place they called home.” They also lost their beloved family dog and bird in the fire. Two of their kittens were able to be rescued and are currently at the veterinary hospital receiving care.
The funds raised are to help cover immediate needs like temporary housing, food, clothing, and basic essentials.
For those asking how to help specifically, here are some immediate clothing needs:
Mom: XL
Dad: L
Son: Boys size 8
Two teenage girls: Medium pants, Medium/Large tops
No word yet on what caused the blaze.
