Two more recreational marijuana locations approved for Fall River
Two more Fall River recreational marijuana facilities have been granted provisional licenses in the city.
The Cannabis Control Commission held a meeting at 1:00 p.m. this afternoon where they granted provisional licenses to both Hope, Heal, Health, Inc and Greener Leaf.
Hope, Heal, Health, Inc converted space in the former Border City Mills complex at 1 West Street in Fall River and recently opened for medical marijuana. The location anticipates being open for recreational marijuana in May of this year.
Greener Leaf, Inc., will be located at 95 Rhode Island Avenue at the former Fall River Laundry Express location on the side of Guimond Farms. Greener Leaf had a community outreach meeting over the summer and have yet to begin construction on the inside of the facility.
Both Hope, Heal, Health, Inc and Greener Leaf, Inc. will cultivate, manufacture and sell for recreational purposes.
Earlier this year, Northeast Alternatives became the first recreational marijuana retailer to open in the city.
The future and current Fall River marijuana establishments will pay a 3 percent tax to the city.
