Two Massachusetts State Troopers rescue injured owl on state highway
Two Massachusetts State Troopers were able to rescue an animal that was found injured on the highway.
According to Massachusetts State Police, on the overnight shift at State Police-Shelburne Falls, Troopers Owen King and Katherine Newell responded to reports of an injured owl on Route 91 northbound in Deerfield.
Fortunately, they were able to locate the bird and transported it to the barracks while arrangements were made to transport the bird to a rehabilitation center.
Later that shift, Trooper Owen was able to make contact with the Birds of Prey Rehabilitation Center, where the Owl was transported for treatment.
In June, Troopers rescued three animals in separate incidents.
