Two injured, one cited after multivehicle crash on Route 24 near Fall River, Tiverton border
Two people were injured, and one was cited after a multivehicle crash on Route 24 in Fall River.
According to Massachusetts State Police, a call came in just after 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday for a rollover crash on Route 24 South near the Massachusetts and Rhode Island border in Fall River.
Both travel lanes were closed on the southbound side of the highway and traffic had to pass in the breakdown lane.
Both operators were transported to area hospitals with minor injuries.
Fall River Ladder 2 and Engine 5 arrived at the scene and performed an extrication.
One operator, a 30-year-old Tiverton R.I. man was cited for a marked lanes violation and operating an unregistered motor vehicle. He was issued a summons to appear in court at a later date.
