Brockton – Plymouth County District Attorney Timothy Cruz announced that authorities have indicted two individuals in a brazen retail theft ring that targeted high-end cosmetics and skincare stores across eastern Massachusetts this summer, making off with over $30,000 in merchandise.

Morin Denisse Sanhueza Diaz, 31, and Kevin Andres Guzman Bernal, 22, each face one count of larceny exceeding $1,200 through a single scheme, stemming from a meticulously planned two-day operation that struck multiple Ulta Beauty outlets between July 10 and 11, 2025.

Investigators detailed how the pair methodically hit locations from Everett to Hingham, Braintree, Westwood, Taunton, Dartmouth, and Fall River, zeroing in on premium brands like Benefit, Dior, Chanel, Fenty Beauty, and NARS. Surveillance video from the stores captured Diaz stuffing boxed products into a beige tote bag, while Bernal, clad in dark attire, served as a lookout and stashed additional items in his waistband. In each instance, the suspects donned matching outfits, signaling their nonstop itinerary across the region during the spree.

The case came together through a collaborative effort by police departments in Hingham, Fall River, Warwick, Taunton, Everett, and Dartmouth, bolstered by Ulta’s loss-prevention team, which pieced together high-resolution footage, uniform apparel patterns, and precise inventory discrepancies to connect the dots.

Diaz is currently detained out of state, while Bernal remains at Plymouth County Correctional Facility; both, who are undocumented immigrants, are slated for future court appearances on the charges.
