Two hurt, one with life threatening injuries, after early morning crash on I-495
Two were hurt Sunday in a serious crash on a Massachusetts highway.
According to the Mansfield Fire Department, early this morning, Mansfield and Foxborough Fire Departments responded to Routh 495 Southbound at exit 12 for a head on motor vehicle crash.
Authorities stated that when responders arrived at the scene, they discovered 2 patients, 1 entrapped. The crews used the Jaws of life to extricate the trapped patient.
Both patients were transported to Rhode Island Hospital Trauma Center, 1 patient with life threatening injuries.
The accident is under investigation by Massachusetts State Police.
