Two homes struck by gunfire Thursday in Fall River

Shortly after 9:30 p.m., multiple reports came in for multiple shots fired

On January 11th at approximately 9:30 p.m. Officers of the Fall River Police Departments Uniform Division were dispatched to the area of 760 King Phillip Street in regards to ‘ShotSpotter’ activation. Several witnesses also reported a shooting in the area of Crawford and King Philip Streets. Officers Luis Vertentes, David Reed, Jose Dapedra, Nicholas Magan, Kevin Guerreiro, and Brandon Stukus were dispatched to assist Officer Peter Cummings.

On arrival, Officers checked the area. Witnesses  stated to the Officers that an altercation took place in the street. A heavy set black male was observed pointing a firearm down the street and firing off several shots. The male then entered a red SUV and sped off down King Phillip Street. Also seen was a Hispanic male running to a silver late model Silver Nissan, enter the rear passenger side of the Nissan and shout ‘LET’S GO LET’S GO’. This vehicle sped off down King Phillip Street.  Two houses on King Phillip Street were struck by bullets. Crime Scene Unit Detective T. Burns responded to collect evidence.
