Two from Fall River, one from Braintree facing drug trafficking charges after Worcester and Somerset PD investigation
A joint WPD-Somerset PD investigation resulted in three arrests for fentanyl trafficking.
According to police, on Thursday, Worcester Police officers assigned to the Vice Squad and the Neighborhood Response Team were working on a joint investigation with the Somerset Police Department. After a lengthy investigation, officers developed probable cause that multiple individuals from other cities were involved in narcotics trafficking in Worcester. At about 7 PM, officers stopped a Honda CRV at the corner of Edward and Earle St and other officers stopped a Lexus near East Central St and Eastern Ave.
In the Honda, officers recovered a large amount of what appeared to be fentanyl.

The operator of the Lexus, 30-year-old Luis Duarte-Santos of Braintree, was placed under arrest for Trafficking in over 10 Grams of Fentanyl and Distribution of a Class A Substance.
