Two early morning car fires in southeastern Massachusetts shut down Route 24 South
Two car fires took place on Route 24 South on Sunday morning that shut down the highway.
According to Massachusetts State Police, just after 3:00 a.m., all lanes of Route 24 South in Raynham were closed while a car fire was extinguished.
Upon arrival, a car was located engulfed in flames.
Raynham Fire was on scene as well as Massachusetts State Police. The location of the blaze was just south of Route 44.
Shortly after Troopers arrived on scene, the left lane was passable. The right lane was closed until the scene was cleared.
No injuries were reported.
