Two dead in fatal motorcycle crash on Route 138
A married couple has died after a serious crash that took place Monday night.
Stoughton Police, State Police Collision Analysis and Reconstruction Section, and the Norfolk DA’s Office are investigating the fatal collision of a Toyota Corolla and a Harley Davidson motorcycle in the vicinity of 1317 Washington Street (Rte. 138) in Stoughton shortly after 8:30 p.m.
According to Stoughton Police, the couple on the motorcycle, Al Pedro, 50, and Aldina Pedro, 51, of Stoughton, were traveling northbound on Rte. 138 when they collided with the sedan travelling southbound. Although the crash reconstruction and analysis report is not complete, the initial indications at the scene were that the collision occurred in the northbound lane.
The Pedros did not survive and were pronounced on scene.
The driver of the Corolla was a man in his early 60s. He was transported to an area hospital for evaluation.
The crash remains under investigation by SPD, State Police, and the NDAO. No charges are in place at this time as the investigation continues.
