Two Dartmouth Police Officers exposed to fentanyl during traffic stop, Fall River man arrested
DARTMOUTH, MA – On Saturday, April 6, 2019 at approximately 12:36 p.m., while negotiating an arrest associated with a traffic stop on State Road, two Dartmouth police officers were exposed to Fentanyl, which was secreted inside both the vehicle and the suspects wallet.
As a result of their exposure, both officers were transported to St. Luke’s Hospital, where they were evaluated and subsequently released.
The operator of the vehicle, Jared Barbosa, 29, of Fall River, was arrested on two outstanding warrants, both of which were drug related.
Additional charges associated with the Fentanyl are pending.
