Two arrested on drug charges in Sunday morning arrest warrant
Two were arrested this morning on drug charges in Somerset.
According to Somerset Police, at 4:45 a.m. today a search warrant was executed at 245 Lees River Avenue in Somerset. As a result of that warrant detectives seized 358 bags of heroin, 4 grams of crack cocaine and a sum of cash.
Arrested were two men from Somerset. Barry Cabral, age 42, of 245 Lees River Ave.was booked and charged with trafficking in a Class A controlled substance and possession with intent to distribute a Class B controlled substance. He also had three outstanding warrants for his arrest. The second man arrested was Henry Rogers, age 27, also of 245 Lees River Ave. Rogers was booked and charged with trafficking in a Class A controlled substance. Cabral is being held on $20,000.00 cash bail and Rogers on $15,000.00.
According to police, the investigation into drug activity at the address began over one month ago. Somerset and Swansea detectives worked jointly on this investigation. Also assisting were detectives from Fall River, Westport and Seekonk.
