Two arrested after report of person brandishing firearm at off-duty Fall River police officer
Two people were arrested Saturday after a report of a firearm being brandished at a Fall River police officer.
According to Det. Sergeant Moses Pereira at approximately 10:00 p.m., on Saturday, an off-duty police officer contacted the Department and indicated that while engaged in activity related to his secondary employment, a party had brandished a firearm at him. He was familiar with these parties through his secondary employer and was able to provide information as to their identity, as well as their current location on Almond Street. Units responded to this location to investigate.
As a result of the investigation, two individuals were arrested. Two BB guns were recovered.
Ashley Barros, 36, is charged with assault with a dangerous weapon.
Michael Croteau Jr., 34, was arrested on outstanding arrest warrants.
