Trip to the liquor store results in $4 million Massachusetts State Lottery scratch ticket win

A trip to a Massachusetts liquor store turned out to be worth millions thanks to a State Lottery scratch ticket.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, The Braintree Plumbers Trust of Philadelphia, PA has claimed a $4 million grand prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “Fabulous Fortune” $10 instant ticket game.

The trust, represented by trustee Robert Cirafice, opted to receive its prize in the form of a one-time payment of $2,600,000 (before taxes).

The winning ticket was purchased at Red Apple Market Liquors, 267 Quincy Ave. in Braintree. The store will receive a $40,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.

The “Fabulous Fortune” game includes one more grand prize of $4 million that has yet to be claimed.
