Trip to the gas station turns very lucrative for Massachusetts man after $800,000 State Lottery win

A Massachusetts man has thousands of reasons to smile after a recent trip to the gas station.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Nector Gonzalez Jr. of Methuen has won a $1,000 a week for life prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$1,000 a Week for Life” $5 instant ticket game.

Gonzalez Jr chose the cash option on his prize and received a one-time payment of $800,000 (before taxes).

The winning ticket was purchased at Citgo, 626 Rogers St. in Lowell. The store will receive a $10,400 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
