Trip to Massachusetts convenience store leads to $25 million State Lottery win on scratch ticket

We often make trips to the convenience store to pick up a coffee, snacks, or some needed kitchen staples. Its rarefied air when one of those trips makes you a multi-millionaire but that’s what happened recently courtesy of a State Lottery game.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Carrow Road Trust of Peabody has claimed the second $25 million grand prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$25,000,000 Mega Money” scratch ticket game.

The trust, represented by trustee Donald MacDonald, opted to receive its prize in the form of a one-time payment of $16,250,000 (before taxes).

The winning ticket was purchased at 7-Eleven, 78 Franklin St. in Quincy. The store will receive a $50,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.

One instant grand prize of $25 million remains unclaimed for this game.
