A trip to the convenience store is a common thing in Massachusetts, but there was nothing common about this trip that resulted in a big State Lottery win.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, The LWT Trust of Abington has claimed the first $1 million grand prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$1,000,000 Big Money” $5 instant ticket game.

The trust, represented by trustee Michaila Fraser, opted to receive its prize in the form of a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes).

The winning ticket was purchased at Richdale Food Shops, 474 Market St. in Rockland. The store receives a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.

The “$1,000,000 Big Money” instant ticket includes three more instant grand prizes of $1 million.
