Transit Police: Man killed after intentionally walking in front of MBTA train
A man was killed this morning after being hit by a Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority train.
According to Richard Sullivan of the MBTA Transit Police, at approximately 8:00 a.m., an adult male in the vicinity of the Titicut Street Grade Crossing in Bridgewater, MA intentionally entered the right of way as an MBTA Commuter Rail train was passing through. This occurred on the Middleborough Main Line inbound side.
The male has been pronounced deceased as a result of injuries sustained.
Sullivan stated that no further updates will be provided as he issued condolences.
“On behalf of the Transit Police Department and the entire MBTA organization we offer our most sincere condolences to the decedent’s family and loved ones.”
