Transit Police, local police and fire, respond to collision with injuries involving vehicle, train

Multiple people were injured Thursday in an incident involving a train.

According to Hanson Fire, they responded early this afternoon alongside Hanson and Transit Police Department to a train vs. vehicle collision at the Pleasant Street crossing.

The primary ambulance was already tied up on a previous call at the hospital; a Pembroke Fire ambulance was requested. The Hanson ambulance was able to clear the hospital and respond back to the scene shortly after.

The driver of the truck and the train engineer were both transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
