Toys “R” Us to return for holiday season
The talk about Toys “R” Us making a return in the United States appears to be on its way to being realized.
According to Bloomberg, the former toy chain is set to return for the holidays by opening about a half dozen stores in the United States along with an e-commerce website.
The stores are expected to be about 10,000-square feet. The locations are also expected to have a more hands on experience with features such as play areas.
Toymaker MGA Entertainment Inc. has already agreed to sell at the new Toys “R” Us shops.
Effective January 20, 2019, the new company, Tru Kids Inc. doing business as Tru Kids Brands™, became the proud parent of Toys”R”Us®, Babies”R”Us®, Geoffrey® and more than 20 established consumer toy and baby brands.
