Town of Westport holding rabies clinic that will be free for some pet owners

The Town of Westport is holding a rabies clinic that will be free for some pet owners.

The clinic will take place on September 16, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to noon at the Hixbridge Fire Station, 54 Hixbridge Road, in Westport.

The clinic is free to Westport residents (proof of residency required) and $15 for non-residents. Payment must be by check or money order.

Clinic procedure:

1. All dogs and cats must be 12 weeks or older.
2. All cats must be in a carrier and all dogs on a leash.
3. All pets will receive one year rabies vaccinations.
4. Owners must control and restrain pets.
5. Only healthy pets will be vaccinated.

Certificate of last rabies vaccination must be presented for a three-year vaccine*
