Toddler transported by medflight after reportedly suffering serious injuries from a dog

A young child was reportedly injured Friday evening by a dog in southeastern Massachusetts.

Just after 6:15 p.m. a call came in for a 1-year-old child bitten by a dog on Lighthouse Inn Road in Dennis.

It was determined that the child had a laceration to the right lower lip, laceration to the bridge of the nose, an eyelid, and a puncture to the skull.

The child was transported by medflight to a hospital and the condition was unknown.
