According to Plainville PD, on Wednesday September 27, 2017, Plainville Police Officers responded to a reported armed robbery at the Mobil Gas Station located at the intersection of Rt 106 & 152. Officers spoke with the employee who was able to provide information about the suspect, a white male who entered the store with a hooded sweatshirt, ball cap, and sunglasses. The male showed a handgun and demanded cash from the register. The employee opened the register and the suspect removed an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect then fled the scene.

Officers were able to view surveillance footage of the robbery as it happened. With the help of the video, officers were able to gather information about the suspect, and vehicle involved. A K9 was brought to the scene to assist with the investigation. The suspect was believed to be the same one who committed an armed robbery earlier in Seekonk.

Plainville Police was able to identify two suspects, one male and one female, based on the surveillance footage. A short time later, the male and female exited the motel, and were arrested without incident. They were later transported to the Plainville Police Department for booking and processing.
