Tiverton Police looking for public’s help after boat strikes 11-year-old swimmer, flees scene

Local police are looking for the public’s help after a weekend incident left a child with injuries.

According to Tiverton Police, at approximately 3:15 p.m. on Sunday, an 11-year-old juvenile was struck by a boat while swimming on Nanaquaket Pond. As a result, the juvenile was injured.

The boat responsible fled the scene in a northly direction. Police are looking for anyone with information regarding this incident. The boat (pictured) is described to be 20 feet in length with a red/burgundy hull and was occupied with 5-6 male and female teenage occupants.
