Tiverton, Fall River, Portsmouth Fire Departments extinguish blaze involving cars, home

Several area fire departments battled flames at a residence on Saturday morning.

According to the Tiverton Fire Department, at approximately, 11:45 a.m., firefighters were dispatched to 204 Russell Drive for a car smoking.

Upon arrival, crews found two motor vehicles fully involved and fire extending to the home. The fire was quickly brought under control, preventing any extension or damage to the interior of the home.

No injuries were reported.

TFD thanked their mutual aid partners from Portsmouth and Fall River for their assistance. Westport also handled a medical call in town during the incident.
