Three people, including 2 EMTs, rushed to the hospital after multi-vehicle crash with rollover in Fall River

Multiple people were taken to area hospitals after a collision that involved EMTs Thursday afternoon in Fall River.

According to scanner transmissions, at just before 2:00 p.m., an EMS truck and another vehicle were involved in a crash in the area of High and Locust Streets where the civilian vehicle was on its side.

According to Fall River EMS, one of their Interfacility Transfer Trucks, was enroute to a local hospital for a preplanned discharge from the hospital when the incident took place. The Medic unit was not patient loaded at the time.

Both EMT’s were transported to local hospitals, and the driver of the vehicle was transported to Rhode Island Hospital Trauma Center due to her vehicle being flipped on its side. EMS stated that all patients are expected to make full recoveries and were transported with non-life-threatening injuries.

Responding units included Fall River EMS Medic 4, Medic 5, Medic 6, Squad 11, Squad 12, EMS Ops Captain and Lieutenant, EMS 1, and EMS 2. Fall River Fire Engine 12, Platform 1, and Heavy Rescue 1 along with Fall River Police were on the scene.

Fall River EMS wants to remind everyone to obey all stop signs, obey the speed limits, and always be aware of your surroundings.

The cause of the accident its currently under investigation by the Fall River Police Department and no fault has been determined at this time.
