A recent incident in Rhode Island resulted in Massachusetts men being nabbed.

Last week, Rhode Island Environmental Police Officers intercepted three Massachusetts men in Newport with multiple marine fisheries violations.

The men, who were not identified, were in possession of 48 tautog (47 undersized), 21 black sea bass (20 undersized), and failed to produce valid saltwater fishing licenses. The total catch was seized, and luckily, officers were able to return many of the fish to the water.

The boat owner was arrested, will be charged in District Court, and was issued citations for boating safety violations.
