Three Fall River men arrested in Burlington double stabbing
Fall River Police arrested three in a double stabbing from Friday evening.
According to Detective John Robinson, at 8:12 p.m., units responded to Burlington at 181 Mariano Bishop Boulevard for a fight just outside its doors where they found two male adult victims with stab wounds.
Witnesses stated to us that there appeared to be an argument or disagreement before the fight and stabbings took place.
The suspects claim that in the store, the victims made finger gun gestures in their direction and were staring at one of the suspects who has autism. The account, however, has not been confirmed.
Robinson stated that one victim had a life threatening wound to his torso. Both victims were transported to Rhode Island Hospital and the victim with the torso wound was stabilized. The victims are now in stable condition.
With the information provided by witnesses, Officers Matt Rezendes and Zach Vorce were able to locate and detain three suspects and their vehicle. MCD Captain Duarte responded along with MCD detectives Dwaine Cabeceiras and Derek Beaulieu and conducted interviews.
As a result of those interviews along with video surveillance, Jams Anibal Santiago-Issac, 18, Reynaldo Santiago, 21, and Anibal Junior Santiago, 22, all of Stewart Street, Fall River, were arrested and charged with Assault and Battery With a Dangerous Weapon, Assault and Battery With a Dangerous Weapon /Causing Serious Injury.
