Three Fall River and Brockton men arrested in connection to a masked armed robbery
EAST BRIDGEWATER — Chief Michael Jenkins reports that following an extensive and thorough investigation, East Bridgewater Police have arrested three men in connection to a masked armed robbery in April.
On Monday, April 13th, at just after 10:15 p.m., the Holbrook Regional Emergency Communications Center received a 911 call from a victim at 52 Bedford St. in East Bridgewater reporting they had been robbed and assaulted at gunpoint by two masked individuals.
East Bridgewater Police officers were immediately dispatched and arrived on scene within minutes, however the suspects had fled in an unknown direction.
Over the following weeks, East Bridgewater Police detectives, with the assistance of patrol officers, employed a range of investigative techniques and obtained multiple search warrants.
These efforts led to the identification of a suspect vehicle and three individuals believed to be responsible.
As a result of the investigation, probable cause was established and arrest warrants were issued for the following individuals:
22-year-old Brian Price of Fall River, 27-year-old Jihaad Bynum of Fall River, and 18-year-old Yannick Goncalves of Brockton have been charged with Masked Armed Robbery, Assault with Intent to Rob While Armed with a Firearm, and Conspiracy.
Bynum was arrested on April 30th, and subsequently released on $10,000 bail.
Price, who had removed a court-ordered GPS ankle monitor and was actively evading law enforcement, was taken into custody on May 14th.
Goncalves was located with Price and also arrested on May 14th.
“The East Bridgewater Police Department would like to thank its law enforcement partners for their assistance in this investigation, including the WEB Major Crimes and Drug Task Force, Fall River Police Department, Brockton Police Department, Massachusetts State Police, FBI Lakeville, and SEMLEC SWAT,” said Chief Jenkins. “This investigation highlights the effectiveness of interagency collaboration and a shared commitment to holding those who commit violent crimes accountable.”
