Thirsty Massachusetts man plans to pay off his loans after $1 million State Lottery prize
A Massachusetts man wanted to quench his thirst and that led to a big win.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Kyle Laffin of Hanover has won a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “$10,000,000 Premier Cash” $20 instant ticket game.
Laffin opted to receive his prize in the form of a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). He said that he plans to use his winnings to pay off his student loans.
He said he purchased his winning ticket while stopping to get a bottle of water at Hingham Gulf, 19 Whiting St. in Hingham. The station receives a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.
