A third Fall River man has died while on the job this year.

According to his brother, 33-year-old Jorge Marcelo Yanza Riera died in a work accident in Martha’s Vineyard, MA.

Jorge lived in Fall River and arrived in this country a little over two years ago in the hope of building a better future and supporting his family in Ecuador. Jorge was described as a hardworking man full of life and always smiling. Ready to reach out to anyone who needed it.

The Martha’s Vineyard Times stated that Riera fell from scaffolding on Tuesday on Trapps Pond Road in Edgartown.

Family members are looking to bring Riera’s body back to Ecuador.

In February, a Fall River man fell off of a ladder and died.

In late January, a Fall River man died after a home being constructed collapsed.
