A Massachusetts man is putting action to the adage “it’s better to give than to receive” after hitting big money on a State Lottery scratch ticket.

According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Wei Xiao Zhong of Brighton has won a $4 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “4,000,000 Cash King Doubler” $10 instant ticket game.

Zhong chose the cash option on his prize and received a one-time payment of $2,600,000 (before taxes). He plans to invest and donate his winnings.

He purchased his winning ticket at Moda & Tobacco, 550 Arsenal St. #36 in Watertown. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale of this ticket.

“4,000,000 Cash King Doubler” has two $4,000,000 and three $1,000,000 prizes remaining.
