The City of Fall River, Mayor Paul Coogan, and local non-profit, ‘Law Enforcement Assisting Families’ (L.E.A.F.), have announced the 2023 Fall River Community Christmas Toy Drive.

All toys and monetary donations will stay within the Greater Fall River Area and will be dispersed to families in need by the Fall River Police Department.

Donations will be accepted through December 15th at various yet to be determined drop-off locations around Fall River. You can currently drop off toys at the Fall River Police Department.

To further assist families in need, monetary donations are also being accepted on the Toy Drive’s Gofundme Link.

“Making this toy drive community-wide is important to making sure that everyone in need this holiday season is taken care of. We want the city involved to make sure the children and families of Fall River have a Christmas they will never forget,” says Mayor Paul Coogan.

“It’s always great to see the people of Fall River come together and help those in need. It shows the true character of the city and how much the citizens truly care for one another,” says Director of L.E.A.F, Jonathan Ferreira.

To spread fun holiday cheer, a friendly competition will be held between local organizations who are hosting a box for the drive, and they will be competing to see who has the best decorated box!

For organizations who would like to participate in the drive or families who are in need of assistance this holiday season, please contact Jon Ferreira at the Fall River Police Department at 508-837-5477.
