Thanks to family members, Massachusetts woman hits $800,000 on Mass Cash drawing
A Massachusetts woman has her family to thank after hitting big money on a State Lottery drawing.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Cynthia Holden won a total of $800,000 by playing the same set of numbers on eight Mass Cash tickets, matching the five numbers selected in the game’s Thursday, May 11 drawing.
Holden, who is from Methuen, won her prizes with a set of numbers she plays regularly that represent birthdays of family members. She claimed her winnings Tuesday, May 16 at the Massachusetts State Lottery’s claim center in Lawrence.
She purchased her winning tickets at Methuen Package Store located at 462 Lowell Street in Methuen. The store receives a total of $8,000 bonuses for its sale of these tickets.
