Ten years after first $1 million win, Massachusetts woman hits for second time
February 13, 2020 – Ten years and two months after winning a $1 million prize in the Massachusetts State Lottery’s “Billion Dollar Blockbuster” instant ticket game, Linda Sweeney of Dorchester has won another $1 million prize, this time in the Mass Lottery’s “200X” instant game.
According to the Massachusetts State Lottery, Sweeney chose the cash option on her prize and received a one-time payment of $650,000 (before taxes). She purchased her winning ticket at Stop & Shop, 545 Freeport St. in Dorchester. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale of the ticket.
Sweeney won her first $1 million prize December 7, 2009.
One $15 million prize and 17 additional $1 million prizes are still available in the “200X” $30 instant game.
